But recently, I took a little break to breed some Eevee.
After I received my token Eevee from Bill, I decided I might as well get it out of the way. Since there are five available eeveelutions in SoulSilver (no Leafon or Glaceon), I'll obviously need five separate Eevee to evolve. So I put it in the day-care with a Ditto and ran around Goldenrod City for approximately.... I dunno, 26,000 steps or something? (it takes 8,960 steps to hatch one, and I had four - although I carried three at a time.) Either way, an activity that would probably be considered a massive waste of time in most people's eyes.
Now, I don't really get too involved with breeding (certainly not to the extent of breeding specific IVs and such), but luckily one of them hatched with a bold nature, so I can at least get a decent Vaporeon out of it. Now I just have to figure out a way to get more stones, to evolve other pokémon that require them (like the Staryu and Vulpix on my team)...
Anyways, I suppose it's time for me to go see about getting the Glacier Badge from Pryce in Mahogany Town. (Yay Ice Gym! A great place to level my new Vulpix) After that, only one more badge to go! And then on to the Elite Four... Which reminds me that I have some intense training to do before then. But I'll (hopefully) be catching more and more pokémon all along the way, so it'll be good times (albeit probably a little frustrating).
