Catch of the Week (#1) - Red Gyarados

It's been a few days, but I've put in some hours on my pokédex, and it's probably about time for my first Catch of the Week.
It took me a while to decide which pokémon would make the grade, but I was surfing around the Lake of Rage training last night and thought, 'How about good ol' red Gyarados?' (After all, it is the most interesting thing I've caught all week.)

A standard catch in SoulSilver, but I'm not complaining. Of course, I'm also not playing a red Gyarados on my team... but that's beside the point.
She actually put up quite a fight. I almost had to put two status effects on her (although at that point confusion probably would have been her demise), but ended up unexpectedly -and almost accidentally- landing a catch at the last minute.
I named her Scarlet (because I'm boring and unimaginative), threw her in the PC with the rest of my catches, and called it good.
--But predictable or not, it's still somewhat exciting to catch a shiny pokémon.

In other news, I'm off to fight Jasmine in Olivine City. I've been running around training for a while, cause her Steelix is kind of going to dominate my team, but I think I'm about ready.
