Snubbull: The Current Bane of my Existence

I added a few entries to my pokédex over the weekend, including evolving my Kadabra & Haunter and catching some rare pokémon as well. I even randomly ran into a Yanma on Route 35, and (surprisingly) caught it on the first try. Not gonna lie, it was pretty exciting. (But really - Yanma only has a 1% appear rate on that one and only route!) So far I've been pretty lucky with catching rare - and swarm - pokémon. Except for one...
Snubbull. This bastard has been evading me since before Goldenrod City. Its 1% appearance rate on top of Meowth's 40% and Raticate's 30% makes it nearly impossible to find. And the worst part? I hate it. I mean, really.  Look at it - the thing's ugly (and garish) as all hell. Not to mention the fact that it seems to be wearing a baby's clown-themed onesie. But I swear, one glorious day it shall be mine. Sometime... later, when I somehow have nothing better to do than circle around some tall grass for a few hours.

Aside from that though, Remoraid is the only other swarm pokémon that has really given me any trouble. And I'd really like the raise an Octillery at some point, but I won't lie - I've barely spent any time fishing for it.  Just made a few rounds through Route 44 while training for the dragon-type gym in Blackthorn City. I'm pretty happy with my Staryu, anyway. Although I'll obviously still need to catch it eventually for the data. But I did catch Dunsparce almost instantly (without rock smash), and like I mentioned before, Yanma was basically just a lucky pokéball toss. So at least I know it's possible, hah.

But most excitingly, I've almost hit the hundred mark on my pokédex! Only a few more to go and I'll almost be halfway done. Which (I think) is pretty decent, considering the fact that I haven't even reached Kanto yet. Since I defeated Team Rocket I've just been hanging out around Blackthorn, training to beat Clair. But hopefully I'll be able to check the Rising Badge off my list by the end of today, and start training for the real challenge - the Elite Four. Blah. I've really got my work cut out for me... I should probably go get started.
